The Realme Note series is one of the major attractions for economy phone lovers. The latest Realme Note 50 is another addition to the range, giving smartphone users another reason to jump into the Note challenge. Bigger and better phones are always an attraction when these come with durability and affordability. Realme Note 50 price in Pakistan is another reason it is in the hype. Techroid offers the device and many other tech products at the lowest rates.

Realme Note 50 – A Hands-on Review

Expecting a good deal Realme Note 50 must be offered; we had a hands-on experience on the device. Though, at first sight, there is not much to be impressed with, on exploration, it can unfold attractions. Let’s find out what we have got for you.

Design & Construction

As we saw in the pictures, the actual look and feel of the Realme Note 50 are not much different from the previous ones. It matches the family, following a similar design language. You will get a two-tone gloss and matte finish back with sleek colours and appeal.

The camera bump at the back makes it look like a three-lens camera kit, but it’s actually a dual camera with an LED flash. The flash gives a good spread light and a soft splash to brighten the pictures in low light.

If you’re expecting the Realme Note 50 to be completely water-resistant, do not raise your expectations. It’s IP54 rated, which means the device is only dust and splash-resistant. It does not do well with deep water testing at all. However, the volume and power buttons with a fingerprint sensor on the right side make functionality smooth.

Display & Entertainment Options

Smartphones are not just for basic utilities but also for entertainment. Realme Note 50 offers a nice entertainment experience with a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. You can experience nice colours and smooth transitions on screen without any drop frames. With up to 560 units of peak brightness, the device offers a comfortable view even in daylight. However, it is not very friendly in direct or sharp sunlight.

We were expecting a few changes or innovations in the new model, but the dewdrop notch on the screen, along with the front camera, makes it look outdated. Coming to the Realme Note 50 price in Pakistan, this build is justified. The notch looks like Realme’s Dynamic Island, which is titled Mini Capsule.

One thing that was enjoyable was the notifications popping on the screen with fancy animations, giving a lively view. But it may not be too good for people who love sophisticated displays.

Camera Kit

Realme Note 50 comes with a dual camera. However, the flash adjustment in a dedicated ring makes it look like a 3-lense camera, which also confused us in the beginning. But later, we found that it was a dual-camera kit. The main rear camera is 13MP, offering clear pictures in good light and daytime. At some point, we felt a little washout of colours or extremely bright pictures, which we had to manage through manual controls.

However, in low-light or night conditions, it does not perform really well. There can be pixels, poor colours, and even distorted pictures as well. On the front, you will get a 5MP shooter that is still good in terms of giving colourful pictures. Though you cannot expect too many low-light selfies, in a good lighting condition, it works really well.

The Note 50 is suitable for regular 1080p video recording at 30fps. Still, you cannot expect something brilliant out of it. The camera kit is just average and pretty much the same as in previous options, so there will be no massive variation at all.

Processor with Reasonable Performance

One thing we never expect to be good from budget phones is the processor. Coming with a high-end processor seems impossible in this price range. So, an entry-level Unisoc T612 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage seems reasonable. For the Realme Note 50 price in Pakistan, the chipset seems a good fit, but you can get even better options when you look into options like Redmi Mobiles and other competitors.

On testing the performance, we found app navigation smooth, switching the apps pretty easy, and glitch-free. However, you can only play a few entry-level games at low settings. Never expect it to be a gaming phone at all.

Charging & Battery Life

A 5000mAh battery is a standard now; what can be better? Fortunately, the Realme Note 50 comes with this standard battery, but it doesn’t have a fast-charging mechanism. A 10W charging seems slow to re-juice the battery. However, we have tested the battery capacity, which is good enough to last for about +16 hours on a video loop.

Our Verdict

Looking at the Realme Note 50 price in Pakistan, the features it offers are justifiable. It offers a reasonable set of features that you may enjoy as a light mobile user. However, with a better budget, you can get many other phone options that offer much better features as well. At Techroid, you can get amazing discounts and the lowest prices for smartphones and other tech products. So, you can even look at the other options to pick a better option.
